Where fees come from: set taker / maker (or a flat rate) in backtest/strategy config. Match your exchange tier, or results will over-/under-estimate.
Why my result beats live: usually fees set too low plus ideal fills (no slippage). For real cost, raise fees and enable slippage.
Grid/short-period strategies pay a lot in fees — the more you trade, the more fees matter.
Size & precision
Invalid order size: every coin has minimum order size / precision. Check Market → Coin precision; BTCUSDT is usually 0.0001 min.
"Value exceeded precision and was adjusted" is normal — the engine rounds to a valid precision automatically.
Network
Data and orders go through the exchange API; you need stable network. Wired or reliable Wi-Fi helps.
Occasional "exchange error" usually means rate-limiting or a brief disconnect — risk controls and auto-reconnect handle it.
Repeated 502/timeouts: check direct access to the exchange domain (some regions need a proxy).
Proxy
If your network can't reach the exchange directly, set an HTTP proxy in Settings → Network.
The engine and app share it; restart the engine after configuring.
An unstable proxy slows orders — pick a reliable one.
Misc
Where are my keys stored: only in your local OS credential manager, never uploaded. To rotate, delete & re-create the key on the exchange side.
Export diagnostics: Settings → Diagnostics → Export diagnostics, then share the log in the group along with the steps you took.
TradFi (stocks, indices, forex)
Which TradFi assets are supported?: US / HK / CN equities, global indices (e.g. S&P 500, Hang Seng), major forex pairs and commodities (gold, oil) — with a multi-source fallback chain so you always have a data feed.
Can I run strategies on TradFi symbols?: Yes — strategies, risk and watchlists all accept TradFi symbols. TradFi watch is free; live TradFi trading requires a Pro plan.
What is a CFD?: A contract-for-difference lets you speculate on price up or down without owning the asset. Qovex routes CFD orders through Bitget's UTA v3 CFD endpoints.
Funding-rate arbitrage
How does it work?: Open a long spot position with a matching short perpetual contract (1× spot, 1× short futures). Funding fees paid/collected every 8 hours from traders on the opposite side become your revenue, while your delta is hedged.
Where are the buttons?: Front page → Arbitrage. The workbench scans all perpetuals, shows each symbol's current funding rate, projected annualized APR and the breakeven settlement count, then lets you open/close both legs atomically.
Is there a risk-free rate?: No spot-futures basis persists forever. The displayed APR is net of spot–futures spread, expected fees and a safety buffer. Read the workbench's warnings before committing real capital.
PBO / credibility badges
What is PBO?: Probability of Backtest Overfitting — the share of cross-validation splits where the winning in-sample parameter ended up in the bottom half out-of-sample. PBO ≤ 0.2 is green, > 0.5 is a strong warning.
Where do I see the badge?: After every backtest result — walk-forward, CSCV or single-bar — a credibility panel shows A/B/C/D with the underlying PBO, PSR and Sharpe significance numbers.
Is it optional?: Credibility badges come with every Pro backtest at no extra cost. You can still run a bare single backtest, but we recommend you trust the badges and not trust the raw Sharpe alone.
Webhook intake (TradingView)
What can I send?: A JSON with symbol, action (buy|sell|long|short|close), an optional size or amount_usdt, and an optional strategy tag.
Where do I get the endpoint URL?: Engine settings → Integrations → Webhook — it shows the local URL (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:8000/api/v1/integrations/webhook/tradingview) plus the current secret.
Will it trade for me automatically?: Signals are recorded by default, not executed. You must flip the separate execution flag in engine settings (Settings → Integrations → Enable Webhook Execution) and the signal must pass normal risk control before an order is placed.
Demo mode & Google login
Do I need an exchange account to start?: No — Demo Mode simulates Bitget fully. Every install gets a paper engine with live mock data, so you can run strategies, place trades and verify the whole workflow before binding a real key.
Which ID providers work?: Email plus verification code is the default. Google OAuth (PKCE flow) is supported on desktop, web and mobile — click the Google button on the sign-in page.
