Connect your API key (security first)
Qovex places orders through the exchange's official API. Your keys are stored only in your local OS credential manager — never uploaded.
Why this is safe
- Keys live in system-level encrypted storage: Windows Credential Manager / macOS Keychain.
- Qovex does not upload your keys to any cloud, ever.
- It only places the trades you explicitly authorize.
Create a "trade-only" dedicated key
In Bitget (as an example), create a key via Exchange → API Management:
- Enable Spot trading (or the futures permissions you need).
- Do NOT enable Withdrawal — even if the key is compromised, funds can't leave.
- Use a dedicated key rather than the one you use for manual trading.
- Copy the
API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase (if enabled).
Bind it in Qovex
- Go to Settings → Exchanges → Add exchange.
- Pick the exchange (e.g. Bitget), paste the three values, and save.
- On success click "Verify connection" — the engine checks permissions and caches the result.
- After that you'll see a placeholder in the config; no plaintext key is written to disk.
Revoke or rotate
- Delete the key on the exchange side and it stops working immediately.
- Remove the binding in Settings → Exchanges; the locally stored key is wiped too.
